Under a government contract, CSG developed a new official website for the Smolensk Regional Duma. It brings a large volume of public-interest information into one digital system and makes it easier to access on both desktop and mobile.
The website covers the Duma's activities, deputies, committees and commissions, news, documents, meetings and other information essential to the public. Navigation and search journeys received particular attention because the project contains many interlinked pages and datasets.
An interactive regional map is a key feature, allowing users to identify their deputy by area and access the relevant information.
CSG was tasked with completely rethinking the Smolensk Regional Duma's digital presence and developing a contemporary website with clear information architecture, convenient navigation and a responsive interface.
The structure follows real user needs: reading the latest news, finding a deputy, exploring committees and commissions, accessing documents, reviewing meeting materials or quickly locating a section. Long articles and large document collections presented a separate challenge. These pages use calm compositions, a clear typographic hierarchy and logical divisions into meaningful content blocks.
We developed a new UX/UI system focused on functionality, readability and a clear information hierarchy.
The visual language combines the project's official character with a contemporary digital approach. Signature blue provides the main accent, while generous white space separates content blocks and reduces visual load.
We developed components for news, deputy profiles, articles, documents, navigation, forms and interactive services. This maintains one visual principle throughout the website, regardless of content type or volume.
The interface was adapted separately for desktop, tablet and mobile, keeping key journeys equally accessible across devices.
After the UX/UI stage, CSG completed the full website development.
The project is a multipage information system with many interrelated entities and journeys. We developed the responsive interface, section logic and functional components needed to work with information about the Duma's activities.
Development prioritised correct behaviour across screen resolutions, the presentation of large volumes of text and reliable user journeys.
CSG's interactive map of the Smolensk Region became one of the project's most technically advanced elements.
The service addresses a specific need: identifying the deputy associated with a particular area. Instead of deciphering constituency structures, users interact with a visual map and obtain the information in one journey.
We developed dedicated interaction logic, territorial visualisation and an interface for displaying deputy information. The service fits naturally into the website's design system while functioning as an independent module.
